Andy Warhol

Image
Though he is more known for his art work, Andy Warhol was almost never without a camera. He took pictures at discos, dinners, flea markets and even wrestling matches. Everyone notices Warhol's attention-at least the moment he sees through the lens: friends, boyfriends, business partners, social people, celebrities, passers-by. To some extent, Warhol's daily photography habits predict our current smartphone habits-we need to record our friends, family, and food. Warhol printed only about 17% of the 130,000 exposures he left in contact form. In 2014, Stanford University's Cantor Center received 3,600 contact sheets from the Warhol Foundation.

William Eggleston

William Eggleston was b orn on July 27, 1939 in Memphis, TN. Eggleston's greatest achievements lies in his pursuit to capture the American South. This resulted in Eggleston becoming one of the most influential  photographers of the late 20th century. Eggleston experimented a lot with colored film, which was less heard of at the time in the world of professional photography. After a time of criticism by senior photographers such as Ansel Adams Eggleston went on to publish several important photo books, such as  The Democratic Forest and influenced a new age of photography.
